Description

I must admit... I love drawing/painting birds! They calm me down and then relax! They are so peaceful! I love the fact that you cannot touch them and they are so smart... excluding pigeons
but I hate flowers... they die too quickly :c

This peacock was an... experiment: I did some accidental lines with blue and red watercolour (you can still see some at the bottom) and then thought "hm... what can I do with this?"and a couple days later I came up with the idea of rearranging them into a peacock! I went to the zoo and fell in love with a couple of peacocks <3
His tail may seem a little bit... weird, but actually they... do spread them like this (I've got a reference photo)

Medium: Acryl, a little bit of pencil (for the neck's sketch) and watercolour + touch ups in PS

PS. I'm looking forward to some critique! I really do want to improve D:

Peacocks are very interesting animals to me and I don't know when the last time, if ever, I've seen a peacock on Deviantart. The peacocks main body looks fine to me and I liked how you placed it in the corner to emphasize the massive size of the feathers. However the feathers is what I'm going to critique on.

I think it would be very helpful if you gave the feathers more definition. The shape of the mass shows that you basically rounded out all the edges, it makes it look more blobby and not leafy or feathery. If you make the edges more serrated, like a pattern of in-and-out lines that resembled the feathers it would help with the texture much more.
I also don't know how your reference picture looked like, but strategically I think it would be better to have the yellow and blue spots more evenly or gradually dispersed to make the pattern neater. And expanding on the shading-range with more contrast of lights-and-darks is always a tip I add on top.

Anyway, good job though, and good luck =)
